Responsibilities:
- Must have experience with Davis Bacon Prevailing Wages
- Must have experience submitting to DIR
- Verify employee timesheet data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws.
- Manage time off balances and accruals.
- Ensure taxes, deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related elements are accurately calculated, documented, and processed.
- Research and process retroactive payments in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure employee payroll data is up-to-date and all data changes (address changes, direct deposit updates, rate changes, tax changes, etc.) are processed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Lead the processing of new hires and terminations; calculate and prepare final payments for employee terminations.
- Assist with year-end processing.
- Manage wage garnishments, including responding to and complying with government requests, providing required documentation, and implementing withholdings.
- Prepare and remit information for internal and external audits for compliance purposes.
- Respond to verification of employment requests.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and labor laws.
- Exercise and maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Support international offices with timesheets, processing payroll, and other payroll-related tasks.
- Works on special projects as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- At least 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing
- Strong Excel skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of payroll software and systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- A commitment to accuracy and timeliness

Compensation:
- Starting Salary at $25.00 - $32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
