Responsibilities:

  •        Must have experience with Davis Bacon Prevailing Wages
  •        Must have experience submitting to DIR
  •        Verify employee timesheet data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws.
  •       Manage time off balances and accruals.
  •       Ensure taxes, deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related elements are accurately calculated, documented, and processed.
  •       Research and process retroactive payments in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  •       Ensure employee payroll data is up-to-date and all data changes (address changes, direct deposit updates, rate changes, tax changes, etc.) are processed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  •       Lead the processing of new hires and terminations; calculate and prepare final payments for employee terminations.
  •       Assist with year-end processing.
  •       Manage wage garnishments, including responding to and complying with government requests, providing required documentation, and implementing withholdings.
  •       Prepare and remit information for internal and external audits for compliance purposes.
  •       Respond to verification of employment requests.
  •       Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and labor laws.
  •       Exercise and maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  •       Support international offices with timesheets, processing payroll, and other payroll-related tasks.
  •       Works on special projects as directed by management.


Qualifications:

  •        A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  •       At least 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing
  •       Strong Excel skills
  •       Attention to detail and accuracy
  •       Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws and regulations
  •       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  •       Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  •       Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  •       Knowledge of payroll software and systems
  •       Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
  •       A commitment to accuracy and timeliness
  •       A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow


Compensation:

  •        Starting Salary at $25.00 - $32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
